I can still feel it!
I was in the sun for around 5 hours in a 40 degree day in and out of water, (i know, I know) im stupid. But enough of that ok.
I was bad! I had it half way down my back, burnt up the side of my left leg and mildly on the face, I couldn't walk on my leg for about a week, and my back was like leather and blistered badly I had to sleep on a t-towl at night so it wouldn't dampen the bed.
6 months later it's all gone, but at times after a shower my back feels all dry and cracked, but its not if you know what i mean?
This feeling dosn't last long but should I be feeling this?
So is there any nerve damage there?
or is it all phycological because it was so bad?
Please help and best answer gets 10 points.
Thanks.
Answer:
When you take a shower use just warm water and not real hot, once you dry off have bf or hubby condition your back with a nice lotion that has moisturizer in it. Your skin was damaged by the sunburn and probably is still tender...this will help it heal. As far as the rest of this summer goes make sure if you go swimming or are on beach that you use a sun block on your shoulders and back. Try not to expose the skin to more damage. Part of it may be just psychological but why not it won't hurt to keep your back moisturized plus you will enjoy it when your bf or hubby is taken care of you.LOL We all need that once in awhile.
dry and cracked just means you have dry skin. has nothing to do with the sun burn
Try using a body scrub a couple of times a week, and apply a good quality body lotion after each shower or bath. The skin will be very badly dehydrated.Good luck
you should use a moisterizing lotion after each shower. you probably burnt the second layer of your skin and it will take a while for it to heal. hope you feel better soon.
you could try a product called aqueous cream. its a great moisturiser and is used very often to treat a burn during the recovery period. nerve damage is a possibility as is psychological. have someone else run a piece of ice over your skin - this may help testing any loss of sensation. http://www.doorone.com.au/xgs-aqueous_cr...best of luck, hope this helps - let me know how you go and what similar brands/alternatives are available in your area email if you still have questions - send photos

I got a prescription for Drysol from my dr but I don't know how to use it!?
My dr put me on meds that raise my body temp so then to counter act the sweating he gave me a prescription for drysol. I just picked it up and am confused on how to use it. It says not to use any other deodorants or antiperspirants while using this. Does that mean only while its on or not ever? He said it would help w/my newly found smelly problem but I am concerned that it isn't going to. HELP!
Answer:
all you do is squeeze the bottle, and put the liquis that comes oout on your armpiots. and you only use deoderant when you DONT have it on.
the pharmacy can provide you with an information handout on the medication but here is one online for that medication
http://www.webmd.com/drugs/drug-9891-dry...
maybe you should call the doctor and ask him/her how you are supposed to use it.

I got a painful muscle spasm, aka charlie horse, this morning around 6 am.?
It was in my left calf muscle and my muscle still hurts. Been hurting all day. Do you think it could have done any damage? Should I see a doctor?
Answer:
Have you tried stretching? I have gotten a lot of those spasms, always during the night, and they do hurt for more than one day sometimes. I find that stretching helps, and I also eat foods with potassium in them, like bananas, when I am having issues with that. They seem to help them stop, and if I am sure to eat them several times a week, they prevent the spasms.
I've done that a million times. More as I get older... maybe you're at the age when it starts... I started having that around my mid 20's.
try rubbing some icy hot on it, soak in a hot tub or hot bath for a bit and try streching it out gently. I get them a lot, and they usually go away on their own with icy hot and gentle streching after a couple days and the first day is the hardest. If it doesn't get better within 2 days, I'd see a doc about it.
Ouch, I hate those... I had 1 that bad before. It stopped hurting after a couple days. Just a muscle strain. If its still really bad after a few days though, you might want to think about seeing a doctor.
You are low on Potassium. A good thing to eat is Bananas. The have a lot of potassium in them. I
I've heard that when you get those, it might be because of a lack of potassium. Try eating more bananas or taking a supplement. I wouldn't worry too much about the pain. Sometimes those can be very painful. I know that I've had a few actually wake me up out of a deep sleep. If the pain persists after a day, you might want to call your doctor, but I doubt that it will. Hope this helps you. :)
You probably need Vitamin B6.A Yahoo search for "restless leg syndrome" + "Vitamin B6" should tell you much more.

I got a deep cut on the joint of my thumb 8 months ago, and it has started hurting. Should I be worried?
I got cut on a piece of broken glass, and it went in pretty deep. I did not recieve stitches, and it seemed to be healing fine. However, a few days ago, it started itching, and now it hurts a little bit. There is also a bump in the centre of the scar tissue that wasn't there before. Should I be concerned, or is it still healing, even though it has been 8 months? The scar is about one centimetre long, and fairly thick.
Answer:
thats what i would say is possible. glass is still in there trying to come up. perhaps u should see a doc. dont want a staph infection
If there is a bit of itching and there is some reddness around the cut, it may be infected. Some minor swelling may or may not be present also. Going on the thought that there may be a small piece of glass still in it you can try to soak it in a pan of warm water and epsen salts. This may soften the skin of tissue around the cut and bring the glass closer to the surface. When it does, sterilzed a needle by burning it a few seconds with a match or a lighter or pour rubbing alcohol on it and try to loosed the tissue around the bump and until the glass is seen and removed with tweezers. Put neosporin and cover with a band aide twice daily until healed. If your do not have reddness or swelling it may not be infected, but is in the state of natural healing process. Some minor itching is normal as new tissue is being formed and replacing the damaged. Although it may be hard, but try not to bend that joint with the cut.Being that this happened 8 months ago, I would watch for signs of infection as I stated previously.
top or bottom of the thumb? I had a similar injury. I cut my tendon and needed surguery then rehab. You will need to break up the scar tissue to prevent any loss of movement. Massage the area a few times a day with lotion. It's been nearly two years for me and my thumb still hurts and I never gained full function back.
It's a good possibility you may still have glass in there and it could be causing problems. You should have a doctor look at it to be sure.
the same thing happend to me but with plastic pipe i was running and i cut my foot with a dirty pipe the cut was deep and there was dirt and a bit of plastic in it my dad had to soak it in water with some detol in it so soak it in water with detol in it and try to pick it out with a pin or a needle if you cant get it out go to the doctors.

I got a black eye 6 months ago Still slightly swollen..?
All right about 6 months ago i got a black eye it mostly healed but my left eye si stil slightly swollen...Its a bit annoying and i was just wondering since its been so long does this mean i have permanet eye damage?Theres nothing else wrong its healed and everything its just looks like im glaring half the time
Answer:
Did you go to the doctor? You may have fractured the bone around the eye socket. If that's the case it may take up to a year to heal, but it may never heal exactly the way it was before.Sorry. Just be glad you didn't lose an eye. You could be walking around like a pirate.
I don't really know whats wrong, but I would strongly advise seeing a doctor a.s.a.p
Black eyes usually take a few weeks to heal, so it sounds as if you fractured your cheek bone or your orbital socket. I would recommend seeing a doctor for some preventive xrays just to be on the safe side.

I get.Dizzy?
Well. sometimes, when i lay down, my head gets dizzy as soon as i close my eyes. this doesnt happan all the time, just every now and then. i am always thinkjng of something before i go to sleep, is it because my mind can not do 3 things at once? idk...is this normal?
Answer:
One common cause is a middle ear infection. The middle ear is responsible for your equilibrium. If as a child you had a lot of ear infections you might be prone to the problem. (Maybe that's why I walk into walls sometimes)
it will happen to me every once and a while. IDK why it happens if you find out e-mail me please cuz i would like to know.
thnk god am not the only one this happens to but mines gets really bad that i end up being sick so like she say if you find out anything let me know thnx.
If this happens occasionally don't worry, we all get it.
If it is regular, beware it could be blood pressure or even worse, get it checked by your Doctor

I get this pain when and while i run...?
it's this cramp i get in my stomach area. i juss got it today when i had attempted to run long distances. if it matters, it was the left side of my stomach.
i have done my research, and this symptom points to me having muscle strain, but i dont know for sure that's what i have.
today, i started to get this cramp about after running maybe half a mile. i have asked other people and they told me that it could be because you ate right before you ran, but i didn't, and other people tell me that it's my breathing, but i dont think that's it either. so wat is this? and how can i prevent it from happening?
Answer:
i normally get that pain too. I just take the pain and keep running, thats the best thing to do. If you go to the doctor, they'll probably say the same thing.
A few months ago, I came across a great product for weight loss and like many others I was skeptical about it. But I really wanted to lose weight and I tried it. The results were excellent and I lost 20 pounds in 2 months. I felt fantastic and I dropped another 5 pounds safely. That's why I recommend you check this product at
http://www.nppharmacy.com where they have a free trial and you only pay 6.95$ shipping and handling.
Good luck!
KK try a few things.First make sure you are well hydrated
Second, Stretch that area. Raise your arms up and lean back and to the sides and stuff. Make a circle with your arms in the air and stuff. Just make sure you are stretching that part of the stomach..
Finally, try breathing out when your left foot hits the ground, instead of the right. This happens to a lot of people, so dont worry its nothing major lol
