I got my tounge split like a snake and it burns like hell..?

I went back to the doctor that did it for me and he said it wasnt infected.. but the edges turned black and it burns when i talk i seroiusly dont think thats right so uhmm whats wrong with it would you say

It sounds more than just an average infection.
Black skin and tissue is narcrotic which means dead or pretty close to it.It may not 'look' infected and your body may not be showing signs of it, but that is not a good sign.This 'Doctor' is having second thoughts about what he's done and now not taking any responsibility.You need to go to the ER as soon as possible for an examination and treatment.Having such a sore tongue will also cause problems drinking and you can become very dehydrated extremely quickly.I have seen a man come into Theatre with black toes for no reason they could find and woke up with them gone..Please seek medical help urgently but not that dumb nong of a Doctor.

When living tissue is turning black, it means that the tissue is dying, give your doc a call, and tell him about this turn. the burning may also be due to what you are drinking, stay away from overly salty or acidic foods/drinks until your tongue has had a chance to heal.
but if you are overly worried about infection, and to definately help stave off infection, and if you have a high pain threshold, gargle listerine over it, and it will kill the bacteria that is in there.

I agree with the above answers expescially Wendy. Get a second opinion- or go the the ER immediatly. Wouldnt want to end up with a split tounge and the tip died and tell off. That would look sick (in the bad way lol) Either way badass for getting it down and u gotta lucky g/f!! Good luck, I hope you can figure out the problem and get it fixed.
