Sunburn puts you at risk for skin cancer in a few years. To go out in the sun again while you are burned is insanity. It would be painful in the short run and very, very harmful in the long run. Take some aspirin, which helps lessen the effects of sunburn and put aloe on your burn. Next time use a sunscreen. Ever see someone who has had skin cancer cut off? They are not pretty scars.

there's actually a new medicine lotion stuff out for sunburn. It's called Cool Aloe I.C.E by Hawaiian tropic. It's kind of a blue green color and has bubbles and looks kind of like hairgel (i had to put it on my poor boyfriend last week because he skipped the sunscreen and got burned really bad at work and looked like Lobster Boy). But if you can't find that, perhaps you could use ice or some kind of cold cream (i used to use Noxema) or something with Aloe on your burn and then wear A LOT of sunblock next time you go outside.

GREETINGS, the evening sun is just as potent and capable of a burn as afternoon or morning. It's not ok to go in the sun unless you want sun poisoning or a 2nd degree burn and going to the hospital. Swimming is ok in the shade. I would use sunscreen in the future, with a burn already you are more at risk for skin cancer as the upper layer of skin is already damaged. ICE is an aloe, lidocaine product sold by most places (Walmart, drugstores), it will help ease the pain.
