I can't sleep when i'm tired, what must be the reason?

this should be weird but why is it that the more drained i am, the more i can't fall asleep. and i sometimes feel that i so wanted to stretch, pulling out my legs and arms to make me feel comfortable coz i feel like i'm losing my strength and my muscles and nerves feels like shrinking but not...i know it's unusual that's why i want to ask if this is something serious. what must be the problem? could someone help me with this? and how to cope up with this.thank you so much!
Answer:
Do you drink coffee during the day? Chocolate? Coke or any other type of caffeinne? Do you wake up late? How many hours do you sleep usually? If your used to going to bed late and waking up late.. try waking up early one day and trying to stay awake till night... you'll be very sleepy and your sleeping pattern will be re-arranged.
DRINK A GLASS OF WARM MILK AND GO TO SLEEP U WILL DRIFT OFF.
Is your sleep patterns messed up? Mine are and that happens to me all the time.
insomnia?
restless leg syndrome? maybe you should see a doctor
I don't think it's unusual, it happens to me all the time. I'm not sure why it happens, but try drinking like an herbal tea or taking a nice warm bath to kind of wind down before bed... you'll be in dream-land in no time
taking valerian root or drinking some chamomile tea would relax all your muscles and nerves and help you to fall asleep.
