I am so tired all the time. I sleep at least 8 hours every night, but still have no energy. What can I do?

Answer:
exercise. it will help your energy levels. if you still have problems, see a doctor. you might have low blood sugar, chronic fatigue syndrome, or some other condition.
today i got only 3 hours of sleep and what I like to do for energy is jog with my dog, or drink a bunch of caffeine! lol
You may also be anaemic, it's very comman in woman, just try an iron supplement. But if it continues you should see a doc.
It could be that your quality of sleep isn't good, even though you are getting enough hours. Or it could be that you are stressed, not exercising enough, or not getting a healthy diet. You'd really have to see a doctor and maybe do some testing to find out for sure.
if there is nothing going on that would sap your energy like stress, illness etc then i would see a doc and have them check you thyroid levels and make sure you don't have some underlying illness like allergies etc. that could be causing these problems without you even realizing it. if your doc gives you the all clear then maybe a change of diet or exercise help.
You may be anemic, which means that your red blood cell count is low, and therefore your hemoglobin levels are low, which can cause fatigue. Try taking an iron supplement. Or perhaps the quality of your sleep is not that great. Do you have a comfortable mattress? Is there a lot of noise? Do you wake up a lot or have problems falling asleep? You can sleep all day but if it's not quality sleep then you will not feel rested. As always, consult a doctor if you feel that this problem really affects your life.
First of all it depends on how old you are. If you are between 14 and 17 you are in about the last major growth spurt you will have before some fine tuning as an adult. People this age require between ten and twelve hours of sleep to accommodate the many changes taking place in their body as well as the stressors involved in adolescence. If you are a young adult you need to look at your diet and exercise to make sure you are appropriately nourished. If you continue to experience increased lethargy you should see your doctor to rule out any disorders that might be present.
Well it could be a number of things- you may think you are getting sleep, but may not be, may have chronic fatigue, too much stress in your life, not enough exercise, not eating properly and drinking too much soda.
sounds like depression seek medical help
Try to get more sleep and exercise, as stress itself can be very exhausting. However, if this continues you should make an appointment with you physician. There are problems such as anemia and hypothyroidism that can explain your exhaustion. Also try to record when it happens, many women feel tired around there period.
You need to find time to go the doctor or would you prefer the emergency room?. Life is precious and more important than whatever that's taking your time right now. You may need to check your life through to see what's bugging you down. Are there some wishes that are taking too long to come true?, does the one you love love someone else?, are your bills going up and finances going down?.Your symptoms point towards stress or vitamin deficiency, but no matter what we tell you now. The answers lie with your doctor, so go ahead and make the appointment fast.
