I burned my self last night and it still hurts a lot and the skin is broken please help?

I splashed my self with the broth from the crock pot on my stomache and I have gone through 3 frozen bottles of water
and it still is killing me as soon as the ice melts or I remove it from my stomache startes throbbing again
.
I have to work today (no way to get out of it) and my job consists of streching and squating (I manage a shoe dept)
So heres your question...
How am I going to be able to work today?
I am thinking maybe solarcain, or maybe tape an ice pack on my stomache...
please help
Answer:
cold water is the best first aid when you burn yourself - 20 minutes under the tap is ideal. NEVER ice or vinegar or milk or butter or mustard or toothpaste or sunscreen or semen or vaseline or tomatoes or vanilla extract or yogurt or sour cream or egg white or lavender oil or cocoa butter or tea - not until the skin is fully healed! ignore anyone who advises any of these!i would advise that you cover the burnt area with sterile paraffin wax or aqueous cream bp. (check the links below and see if you can find a local equivalent)cover the burnt area in paraffin wax after cleaning and removing any burst blisters - these are just sites of infection and will take longer to heal. wash and reapply every 4-6 hours - cover with cling wrap if you wish to cover with clothes - this will stop your clothes getting covered with paraffin and maintains the burn.cling wrap alone is ok if you can't get hold of any paraffin. it also acts as a protective artificial skin - helping retain moisture and protect from further damage and pain. cling wrap is cheap and clean off the roll. in Australia ambulances often use this when someone has been burnt. - please note that cling wrap isn't always practical, like on your face.paraffin creates a seal stopping water leaving the body and reduces pain as it protects sensitised nerves. the paraffin imitates the natural oils secreted by the skin. skin cells are better able to multiply and regenerate with this treatment. pain is also helped. make sure you buy plenty of this paraffin - as the burn heals switch to aqueous cream bp.(aqueous cream has a bunch of paraffin in it plus some moisturisers - look out for stuff that also contains sorbolene or glycerine as these help also). following this regime definitely will help your sunburn heal faster and peel less. aloe is good coz it remoisturises but that moisture can be quickly lost as the skin can't contain fluids- this is a function of healthy skin.so put aloe on, and then the paraffin on over the top as long as there is no broken skin this works great. if there is broken skin leave out the aloe - just paraffin.long term treatment to prevent scarring or loss of function due to contractures(as skin heals it can tighten reducing how much you can move - a skin graft is necessary to repair this). daily moisturiser, daily stretches - talk to a physio, pressure bandages like tubigrip, massaging the scar. this all reduce/flatten the scar and minimise the need for further treatment/surgery. http://www.doorone.com.au/xgs-aqueous_cr...http://www.pharmacyonline.com.au/david-c...hope this helps - let me know how you go and what similar brands/alternatives are available in your area email if you still have questions - send photos feedingthedogcustard@hotmail.c...finally if you are really worried go to a hospital that has a burns unit or plastic surgeons.
You should never put ice on burns. never. You need to run room temp/cold water over it for 20 minutes. if it still hurts go 20 minutes again. Bepanthen, Saxyl - any burn cream will do go to yourpharmacy but ice is burning it more
you need to clean it and go to your doctor
You really should have gone to the doctor.. for a burn the sooner the better. I don't think I'd put solorcain on it.. OMG burrrn! Do you have an aloe vera plant... That helps a burn feel better. Or some Aloe gel. DO NOT put any kind of lotion on it... only a gel, lotions will hold the heat in and it will be worse. GoodLuck. ( Burns are the worst!)
NO! Try your best to keep it dry. I suggest taking over the counter pain killers. The burn needs to dry out to heal. If it stays wet, its not going to heal. As it starts to dry, it will seep, and have a clear liquid coming out of it, but that is normal and is good. It is just your body coating it in its own "lubrication" so as though the scab can easily form over the wound. If the pain persists, i suggest you go and seek medical attention.Good luck!
sorry to hear that you can use alovera plant if theres one near you just cut out the inside and leave it on for a little its the best thing
you can put honey, or salt :)
When I was a kid I burned the top of my had on a oil stove that heated our house, I used this to help with the pain:
I found it on the internet.

COUNTRY_OF_REMEDY: AustraliaINGREDIENTS: Sodium Bicarbonate, also known as baking soda, or
bicarbonate of soda. You can buy it at your local supermarket.INSTRUCTIONS: For minor burns (ie from picking up a hot frypan, touching a very hot surface, steam, flame, sunburn). For a small burn, mix one or two teaspoons of sodium bicarbonate with a very small amount of water, just enough to make it into a smooth paste (not runny). Put the paste directly onto to burned area and leave it for some minutes. It will quickly make the pain subside. When it begins to dry out and fall off, replace it with fresh wet paste. Do this for at least 5 -
10 minutes or more, as required. It not only stops the pain but also promotes apid healing without scarring. It can also be used to relieve and reduce swelling in the case of insect bites, in conjunction with anti-histamine tablets. This is a time-honoured Australian remedy, and in my personal experience works far better than any burn cream or ointment on the market. I do not know if it can be used for serious (third-degree) burns. These should be referred to a hospital or medical practicioner for treatment.
